The
Cornerstone Difference
Cornerstone
Investment Services, LLC was founded in 1999 to give investors the
best of both worlds, the personal attention of a private money manager
and security of being with a large financial institution.
Personal
Attention
Cornerstone has no cookie-cutter financial plans. Each plan is tailored
to the individual’s needs. Investors don’t have to wade
through layers of management to get to the decision-maker. They
deal directly with the money manager, John Riley.
After
having been associated with two Wall Street firms since 1985, John
Riley has gained a wealth of knowledge, insights, and experience.
But it was the freedom to manage money in the client’s best
interest that lead to the creation of Cornerstone Investment Services.
Depth
of Experience
There is over 150 years of total experience among those who work
at Cornerstone. Employees have an average length of experience in
the the financial services industry of almost 18 years.
Breadth
of Services
While money management is our focus, we also offer a variety of
financial plans, retirement plans and estate plans. We are also
involved in custom pension design, Taft Hartley pensions and college
planning.
Financial
Plans
Cornerstone offers a variety of financial plans and asset analysis
reports. Each is tailored to the individual. Cornerstone has developed
the Risk/Reward Asset Allocation Report, an exclusive product that
gives investors a realistic view of their unique potential risks
and rewards.
Freedom,
Independence & Objectivity
There is no pre-set buy list or an investment policy committee that
needs to approve buys and sells. Investment decisions can be made
and acted upon immediately when there is an opportunity or a change
in the market.
Cantella
& Co. makes no markets in either stocks or bonds, so we are
not tied to the inventory of a single broker/dealer.
Research
Research from sources as diverse as institutional firms like Bear
Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Deusche Bank to data sources Econoday,
Vestigo Associates, Wright Investors Services, and Morningstar,
to summary sources such as Zacks and Jagnotes are utilized among
others. We don’t have to rely on just one source for information.
Added
Security
Cornerstone utilizes the services of Cantella & Co, a Boston
Broker/Dealer, for its back office operations. Cantella & Co.
has been serving the brokerage community in this capacity for the
past 54 years.
Cornerstone
primarily uses National Financial Services, LLC ® (NFS) as its
clearing and depository firm. Securities in accounts carried by
National Financial Services LLC, a division of Fidelity Investments
company, are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation
(SIPC) up to $500,000 (including cash claims limited to $100,000).
For details, please see www.sipc.org. NFS has arranged for additional
insurance protection for cash and securities to supplement its SIPC
coverage. This additional protection covers total account net equity
in excess of the $500,000/$100,000 coverage provided by the SIPC.
Neither coverage protects against a decline in the market value
of securities.
